When successful professionals and business owners reach out, they rarely need someone to tell them what they’ve built. Their real question is: “What do I do with it now?” Whether you’re managing concentrated equity positions, planning for a business exit, or transitioning into retirement, I help bring structure, strategy, and clarity to the decisions that matter most.
As the founding partner of Keel Financial, I specialize in working with high-net-worth individuals, particularly tech executives, pre-retirees, and business owners navigating significant financial transitions. I hold the CFP® and CEPA® designations, meaning I bring deep expertise in both comprehensive financial planning and the complexities of business exit and succession planning.
Everything we do is guided by a fiduciary standard and built around you. As appropriate, we model the potential tax impact of key decisions before you act. We stress-test retirement plans against real-world scenarios. And we do it all within a relationship designed to help you feel heard, informed, and prepared to make confident decisions.
Working with us is intended to mean more than managing a portfolio—it’s a long-term partnership focused on aligning your money with the life you’re building. We prioritize thoughtful planning, clear communication, and advice that is tailored to your goals and circumstances. If you’re looking for a financial advisor who combines technical expertise with a commitment to understanding your goals, I’d welcome the conversation.
Q&A with Bobby
How do you go deeper for your clients?
I like to gain a full appreciation and understanding of where my clients are, where they want to go, and why. I work with them to establish a sound path forward. I take a team-oriented process for learning as much as I can about individual circumstances, sharing as much knowledge as I possibly can, and previewing the consequences of complex decisions in advance of making those decisions. “Greatness is a lot of small things done well.” – Eric Thomas
What is your biggest accomplishment?
Professionally, my greatest accomplishment started with risking it all and pursuing my dream of being a financial advisor – nothing was handed to me, and everything was earned. I also completed my master’s degree and CFP® designation. I’m excited to be a founding partner in Keel.
Personally, I take pride in being the best father and husband I can be. I’m proud to be a pillar of my family, neighborhood, and community. I finished a Half Ironman Triathlon and summited Mount Rainier at 14,410 feet!
What’s your favorite charitable endeavor?
It’s hard to pick just one. A couple of favorite charities include Lighthouse Mission, Salvation Army, and the Humane Society. Through the Seattle Times, I have helped many families go through the financial planning process pro bono. Not only was this help they would not have otherwise received, but the examples and lessons reached thousands of other individuals as well.
Where is your happy place and why?
In my backyard with the kids playing, the wind blowing through the trees, the sun on my face, and sitting with my wife. Nothing better (unless there is a glass of great cab involved)! I love anything that involves a beach (preferably in Hawaii), sitting on top of a mountain, or anytime I am on the water.
Favorite ice cream flavor?
Spumoni, Fudgy Wudgy, Pralines and Cream.
