Q&A with Aimée
How do you go deeper for your clients?
I form deep relationships with our clients – really getting to know them. Because I care, I am committed to understanding what they care about, what motivates them, learning about the people most important to them, and then taking on my clients’ goals, fears, and dreams as my own.
Since 2005, I have strived to help hundreds of people move toward their financial goals, including educating their children, handling life’s surprises, settling into confident, meaningful retirements, thoughtfully planning their estate, supporting aging parents, and executing meaningful philanthropic gifts.
Many would call me incorrigibly curious. I’m driven to stay abreast of data, trends, and changing market and tax landscapes, seeking and integrating new information to craft (sometimes outside the box) solutions for our clients.
What is your biggest accomplishment?
Professionally: Earning two of our industry’s most highly regarded credentials – the CFA® designation, requiring more than 1,000 study hours over three years, and the CFP® certificate, another rigorous exam to successfully complete.
Personally: Raising two awesome teenage sons as a single mother. Conquering stage 3A breast cancer at age 40 – while challenging, the experience crystalized who and what is truly important in my life. I wouldn’t trade this perspective for the world.
What’s your favorite charitable endeavor?
I actively support a variety of organizations, both in time and money, and am most passionate about causes focused on helping the environment, advancing literacy/education, and supporting disadvantaged women/children on a global basis.
Where is your happy place and why?
Anywhere next to or on the water…Puget Sound, a lake, stream, ocean, boat, or even a water feature. Feet in the sand on a Cape Cod beach is my happiest place!
Favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate! Chocolate peanut butter, dark chocolate cherry, coconut fudge…mmm. (Although ginger ice cream is pretty amazing too!)
